    I am 58 and currently on disability can my wife draw if I need her to stay at home to care for me?

    Barry – Your wife must be age 62 to collect Social Security benefits. This is true whether she is collecting retirement benefits based on her own earnings, or spousal benefits based on your disability payment. Unfortunately there is no exception to allow for someone to stay home and care for a spouse.
